    What I Know about Flowers:
    •Flowers are different colors
    •Flowers smell good
•Flowers are at the top of the plant

What I Want To Know about Flowers:
    •What do flowers do?
•What are the important parts of a flower?

    What I Learned about Flowers:
•Flowers are the reproductive organs of the plant
    •Flowers have a Stamen
•The Stamen is the male part of the plant.
•At the top of the stamen there is tallow sticky stuff called pollen
    •Flowers have a pistil
•The pistil is the female part of the plant.
•The top of a pistil is called the stigma
    •The stigma is sticky
•The base of the stigma is called the ovule
    •The ovule produces seeds
•When pollen is transferred from a stamen to a pistil it is called pollination
•When pollen is transferred from a stamen to a pistil inside one plant it is called self pollination
•When pollen is transferred from the stamen of one plant to the stamen of another plant it is called cross pollination
•Pollen can be transferred from a stamen to a pistil by the wind
•Pollen can be transferred from a stamen to a pistil by animals like butterflies, hummingbirds and bees
    •Pollination causes fertilization to occur
•Fertilization is the fusion of male sex cells and female sex cells
•Fertilization causes seed to be produced in the ovule
•Seeds are the first part of the plant life cycle
